PSPA hands over to new leadership

Japhet Aritho takes over as Chairman and Ronald Azairwe as Vice Chairman from Dr Grace Ndyareeba and Richard Yego.
The association marked its leadership transition at a dinner at Hotel Protea in Kampala, attended by the chief executives of member fintechs and payment service providers and by representatives of the Financial Intelligence Authority, the Uganda Bankers' Association and the Bank of Uganda.
The Bank of Uganda delegation was led by Dr Tumubweinee Twinemanzi, Executive Director, National Payment Systems.

Outgoing and incoming
The evening recognised the outgoing Chairman, Dr Grace Ndyareeba, and Vice Chairman, Richard Yego, who led PSPA through its establishment as the voice of Uganda's licensed payments industry. Japhet Aritho now serves as Chairman and Ronald Azairwe as Vice Chairman.
The new agenda
The incoming leadership set out its priorities: bring more licensed providers into the association, strengthen advocacy, build institutional capacity, work more closely with regulators and step up the fight against fraud in digital payments.
